ADA Does Not Recommend Oil Pulling.
In an article titled, “Coconut Oil Is Not Dental Care,” Vice (1/17, Wetsman) said that although some claim oil pulling “can do everything from disinfecting the mouth, to whitening teeth, to detoxifying the body,” scientific evidence to support these claims is lacking. The article added that “because there’s so little evidence available, the American Dental Association (ADA) does not recommend oil pulling.”
