Welcome to the KansasAdolescent
Health website!

Adolescence is a critical period of physical, psychological, and social development. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) works to address the needs of adolescents by promoting wellness and offering innovative solutions to address issues that adolescents may face. Trained adults and mentors can assist adolescents with setting goals, gaining life skills, and achieving lifelong success. The right supports at the right time can bring out an adolescent's natural desire to be active in society and their community. Engaging the adolescent population through community partnerships and making connections can reinforce protective factors, promote optimal health, and prevent risk-taking behaviors.
KDHE, in partnership with families and communities across Kansas, seeks to support and improve adolescent health. Through diverse, evidence-based programming, local agencies address: |
