Solid Waste Public Participation Meetings

To improve public participation in the landfill permitting process, the Bureau of Waste Management Policy 04-02 requires KDHE to hold preliminary public participation meetings.  This requirement applies to landfills that receive municipal solid waste, construction and demolition waste, industrial waste, and waste tires and will be held for all new landfills.  Read the entire policy
