Current Fees for Vital Records
Current Kansas fees for certified copies are $15 for the first certified copy of birth, marriage, and divorce certificates and $15 for each additional copy of the same record ordered at the same time. The current fee for certified copies of death certificates is $15 for the first certified copy and $15 for each additional copy of the same record ordered at the same time. A search of records uses the information provided. If the record is not located with the date provided, the search will expand to cover two years before that date and two years after that date. If the expanded search does not locate a certificate, the fee will be retained as a search fee and each requestor will receive correspondence notifying that no record was found. More than one five-year span may be requested for a record search, but each one costs a separate fee of either $15 for births, marriages, and divorces or $15 for deaths.
