Remediation (a noun pronounced - ri-"mE-dE-'A-shun) dates back to 1818 and means the act or process of remedying, of repairing, of restoring.

KDHE Selects New Contractors for Environmental Work in Kansas


The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is pleased to announce new contractors for an Environmental Services Contract for the State of Kansas. Contractors selected to conduct investigations and cleanup for federal-funded and state-funded programs include: Aquaterra Environmental Solutions, Inc., Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co., Inc., Geotechnical Services, Inc., Golder Associates, Inc., SCS Consulting Engineers, Inc., and Terracon Consultants, Inc.

Contractors selected by KDHE to review and conduct various types of risk assessments are: Golder Associates, Inc., TechLaw, Inc., and Tetra Tech EM Inc.

The contract is effective as of July 3, 2007 and extends two years to June 30, 2009 with the option for three-one year extensions.
