Critical Access Hospitals - Network Development
Grants
Network Development Grants
Through the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (FLEX)
Program, KRHOP offers grants to Critical Access Hospitals and rural health
networks to support initiatives aimed at improving clinical quality, operational
effectiveness, and/or network or consortium based collaboration.
The majority of funds available under this program are
distributed at the local level to foster network development and outreach
activities, to develop or enhance QI activities and programs, and to support
network activities to enhance rural emergency medical services (EMS).
Two basic types of grants will be funded: (1) planning grants of up to
$25,000, which focus on design and development of networks and EMS systems
or QI programs, and (2) implementation grants of up to $75,000, which
support networks in implementing fully-developed plans.
