  • KU Medical Center & CMS offering CME for on-line course on Medicare prescription drug program.
    The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering an on-line training course that covers important information regarding Medicare prescription drug coverage including fundamental components, types of plans, Medicare resources for people with Medicare and health care professionals and important dates in 2005 and 2006 regarding Medicare prescription drug coverage.

    The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) is offering Continuing Education Credit for this course in coordination with CMS. KUMC will charge a nominal fee for credit courses.

    Doctors: 1.5 CME Category 1 Credit
    Nurses: 1.8 CNE Contact Hours
    Other Health Care Professionals: 1.5 Credit Hours
