Filling the Gap: Oral Health and Kansas Children
This 6-hour course presented in two lessons focuses on
oral health as important to the general health, well being, and quality
of life for all children. Providing community-based training to child care
providers promotes behaviors that become a part of the child's healthy lifestyle
that they will carry into adulthood. This curriculum will identify best
practices for oral health education for child care providers, recognize
children's oral health concerns, make providers aware of oral injuries that
can occur, and embrace parents and community members as oral health partners.
