Great Plains Foundation Water Quality Restoration & Protection Plan Initiative, Part 1 & 2	This is a 501 (c) 3-organization working to protect water resources in more arid states (western KS). They are basically an awareness-building group, which wanted to expand into water resource protection and conservation efforts. Project objectives are to help them establish a storefront resource center, facilitate a symposium focusing on water quality issues (ground and surface). They are facilitating the development of a watershed restoration and protection strategy for 3 HUCs in the Upper Arkansas River (11030003, 11030009, 11030004). This will be done by interest group building, getting people to sign a clean water pledge, holding small group training meetings to develop a stake holder group etc.
