TOPEKA, Kan. – Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Robert Moser, M.D., will be participating in Kansas Kids Fitness Day with more than 700 third-graders at MacLennan Park in Topeka beginning at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, May 2.
This year marks the 24 year anniversary of Kansas Kids Fitness Day and will be celebrated with more than 21,000 third-grade students across Kansas. Kansas Kids Fitness Day is sponsored by the Governor’s Council on Fitness and Safe Kids Kansas. Activities at MacLennan Park will provide opportunities for third-graders to participate in fun and educational activities to promote physical activity and promote safety.
