TOPEKA, Kan. - The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is requesting public comment on a Draft Agency Decision Statement (ADS) document that describes preferred remedial alternatives for addressing soil contamination at the Wade’s Aluminum Products Site in Fort Scott.
The Draft ADS and other pertinent documents will be available for review and copying during the public comment period from Jan. 13 to Jan. 27 in the Fort Scott Public Library at 201 South National Avenue. These documents are also available online at http://kdheks.gov/remedial/site_restoration/wades_aluminum.html. Anyone may provide written comments on the Draft ADS by submitting them to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mailing them to the following address by Jan. 27, 2014:

KDHE will select a final remedy and anticipates issuing a Final ADS for the site after considering all information submitted during the public comment period. KDHE may modify the preferred remedial remedy based on new information or public comments.
