Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for City of Columbus in Cherokee Co.

TOPEKA, Kan. - The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has been notified that the boil water advisory for the City of Columbus in Cherokee County has been rescinded.

The boil water advisory was issued on June 10 because of a loss of pressure in the water system due to a water main break. Laboratory testing on samples collected indicate no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
