KDHE Seeks Public Comments on Proposed Cleanup at Greensburg PWS #8 Site

TOPEKA, Kan.- The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is asking for public comment regarding a proposal to address environmental contamination at the Greensburg Public Water Supply #8 Site located at 311 N. Main in Greensburg, Kan. 

A draft Corrective Action Decision (CAD) document that outlines a proposal for cleanup is available for public review at the Greensburg Kiowa County Library located at 320  S. Main in Greensburg and at the Curtis State Office Building, 1000 SW. Jackson in Topeka. The Draft CAD and other pertinent information is available online at http://www.kdheks.gov/remedial/index.html.

Public comments can be submitted in writing to: Jessica Crossman, Professional Geologist, KDHE Bureau of Environmental Remediation, 1000 SW Jackson St., Suite 410, Topeka, KS 66612-1367. Comments will be accepted until March 2, 2013.
