KDHE News Release: Advisory Lifted at Warnock Lake in Atchison County, experts still advise caution

Topeka—Samples taken by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) have concluded that hazardous conditions for River Warnock Lake in Atchison County have rescinded and the Public Health Advisory can be lifted.

“Our testing showed that there are no high areas of concern at the moment,” explained Tom Langer, Director for the Bureau of Environmental Health. “That said, if you see any green material floating in the water, you, and especially your pets, should avoid it.”
