Topeka – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is offering a series of webinars to address the Kansas Medicaid Incentive Program. The Health Information Technology and Health Information Exchange (HIT/HIE) Initiative Webinar #3: “Patient Volume Calculation” will be presented today, Oct. 12, from noon to 1 p.m.
This is the third in a series of five webinars that KDHE’s Division of Health Care Finance (DHCF) will be presenting on the Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program. Kansas physicians, pediatricians, providers in Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Clinics, provider office staff, certified registered nurse practitioners, midwives, dentists, other clinicians and hospital staff have been invited to participate in this webinar.
“Health Information Technology and Exchange are being used in Kansas to improve the coordination and delivery of health care services. To facilitate that process, we’re working with stakeholder groups and other interested parties to help set priorities and develop specific proposals for the implementation of HIT/HIE in the Medicaid and HealthWave programs,” said Andy Allison, PhD, Director, Division of Health Care Finance.

This Oct. 12 session will include detailed information calculating patient volume for Eligible Professional (EPs) for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program. The webinar will include detailed information on patient volume requirements, calculating patient volume, entering patient volume in the Medicaid Assistance Provider Incentive Repository (MAPIR), available resources and next steps.
