Topeka—As classrooms around the state begin to fill with students, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE)would like to announce the Annual Kansas Don’t Spoil It Calendar Contest. The goal of the calendar contest is to increase awareness of environmental issues such as natural resource conservation, waste management, recycling and general “greening” activities.
“This contest is a great way to display the beauty and natural resources of the State of Kansas,” said Dr. Robert Moser, Secretary of KDHE. ”I’m looking forward to seeing in art what places and things are important to our students.”

The postmark deadline for artwork is September 30. Winners will be announced in late fall and the final calendar will be available toward the end of December.
