The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Small Business Environmental Assistance Program will host a free workshop on reducing diesel emission, funding opportunities through the Kansas Clean Diesel Program and the upcoming Idling Reduction Rule for Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.
The workshop is set for Thursday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Johnson County Department of Motor Vehicles, 6000 Lamar, Mission, KS. There is no charge for attending the workshop.
The Idling Reduction Workshop is designed to provide fleet owners and operators of on-road, heavy duty diesel vehicles with information regarding:
The workshop will also feature information about the upcoming Idling Reduction Rule. This rule includes on-road diesel vehicles weighing more than 14,000 lbs operating in Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.
