The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) announces that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) 33rd Annual Diabetes Conference, “Keeping Our Eyes on the Prize of Diabetes Prevention and Control,” will be held April 13-16 at the Westin Crown Center Hotel, 1 E. Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
At this conference, the Kansas Diabetes Action Council will be presenting the work they’ve accomplished. Additionally, this conference will bring together a wide range of local, state, federal, territorial governmental agencies and private-sector diabetes partners to increase knowledge and awareness of successful, cost-effective, public and private diabetes programs. The conference will also spotlight effective strategies for preventing and controlling diabetes, and for eliminating diabetes-related health disparities.
