Kansans now have a tool to find resources and services for individuals with disabilities. The Make A Difference Information Network (MADIN) is now available online at www.makeadifferenceks.org and in Spanish. The network, which is a collaboration between the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the Kansas State Board of Education, the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, and Oral Health Kansas, was previously only available by phone.
“This site is an excellent source for any Kansan seeking to find resources and services for individuals with disabilities,” Roderick Bremby, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, said.
The network averages 350-400 calls per month, of those about 50-100 calls are in Spanish. The network promotes individual responsibility by providing links to topics of interest, including:
The Make A Difference Information Network can be reached by calling 800-332-6262 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. It can also be accessed online at www.makeadifferenceks.org. The network is available in both English and Spanish.
