The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) will join the Sedgwick County Health Department and Via Christi – St. Francis tomorrow for a news conference on the H1N1 vaccine.
Speaking at the news conference will be KDHE Secretary Roderick Bremby; Dr. Jason Eberhart-Phillips, State Health Officer and Director of Health for KDHE; and Dr. Hewitt Goodpasture, Internal Medicine, Via Christi. The speakers will address the vaccine distribution process, as well as the safety and importance of the H1N1 vaccine.
At the end of the event, the media will have the opportunity to photograph and shoot video of hospital personnel receiving the 2009 H1N1 live, attenuated intranasal vaccine (LAIV).
The media opportunity will be held Tuesday, October 13 at 10 a.m. in Conference Room 2035 at Via Christi – St. Francis, 929 N. St. Francis, Wichita.
