The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for the city of Columbus, which is located in Cherokee County.
KDHE issued the advisory on September 28 due to a line break that resulted in a loss of pressure to the water distribution system. Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
