Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for Cherokee Co. RWD #3
and City of Treece

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for water customers of Cherokee Co. RWD #3 and the city of Treece.

KDHE issued the advisory on May 11 due to a water line break resulting in a loss of water pressure.  With little or no water pressure in the distribution system, it is possible for contamination to occur.  Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
