Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for City of Buffalo, Wilson Co. RWDs #10 and 11A

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for customers of Wilson County Rural Water Districts (RWD) #10 and #11A, and for customers of the City of Buffalo, which is located in northern Wilson County in southeast Kansas.

KDHE issued the advisory on April 30 due to a chemical feed pump failure that resulted in inadequately treated water being pumped into the distribution system. Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
