This afternoon, Dr. Jason Eberhart-Phillips, State Health Officer and Director of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) Division of Health, will provide an update on KDHE’s response to the 2009 H1N1 flu virus outbreak. Representatives from the Kansas Division of Emergency Management and the Kansas Highway Patrol will be in attendance. The news conference will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Curtis State Office Building, 1000 S.W. Jackson St., 5th Floor, Crumbine Room. Members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend.

KDHE is offering reporters interested in touring the agency’s Department Operations Center (DOC) the opportunity in advance of Friday’s news conference. The DOC will be open to reporters from 3:00 to 3:20. Photographs and video will be allowed.
