MEDIA ADVISORY: E-Waste Collection Event Scheduled for Sept. 13 in Hutchinson

An e-waste collection event will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th, at the corner of 1st and Washington in downtown Hutchinson. The media are invited and encouraged to attend.

The first 500 people who drop off e-waste – such as old computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, televisions, radios and the like – will receive a limited edition recycled and recyclable tote shopping bag. Businesses are not eligible to drop off items at this event. The first e-waste processor permitted in Kansas, UNICOR Inc. of Leavenworth, will be on hand to ensure that all items will be recycled and properly processed.
