KDHE to Conduct Public Meeting Regarding Neodesha Refinery Site

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) will hold a public meeting to discuss the Neodesha Refinery Site at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 at the W. A. Rankin Memorial Library, 502 Indiana St., in Neodesha.

The meeting will focus on KDHE’s process for contaminated sites; investigative and interim remedial actions that have been taken at the site to date; and actions planned in the future, including KDHE’s development of a Community Involvement Plan.

KDHE hopes to obtain the public’s input on the scope of future community involvement activities and to better understand community concerns regarding the site. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
