Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for City of Longton

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded the boil water advisory for the city of Longton in Elk County.

KDHE issued the advisory on July 5 due to a loss of pressure in the water distribution system resulting from pump failure. Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
