The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) will allow the stream advisory issued on June 12 for the Smoky Hill River in Dickinson and Geary counties to expire at midnight tonight.
Power to the Chapman wastewater treatment plant was restored on Saturday. As a result, the plant has resumed normal operation and is no longer discharging raw sewage into the river.
