Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for City of Jewell

The boil water advisory for the City of Jewell (located in southern Jewell County) has been rescinded.

The advisory was issued on May 30 due to a loss of pressure in the water distribution system, resulting from the destruction of the city water tower by a tornado. Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
