Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for Cherokee Co. RWD #3

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded the boil water advisory for Cherokee County Rural Water District (RWD) #3.

KDHE issued the advisory on December 12 due to a loss of pressure in the water distribution system resulting from the recent ice storms. Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.

All other boil water advisories issued on December 12, 13 and 14, including those for the cities of Chetopa and Treece in Cherokee County, remain in effect.
