Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect for Some Customers of Linn County RWD #2

A boil water advisory issued by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) remains in effect for customers of Linn County Rural Water District (RWD) #2 residing east of state Highway K7 and west of U.S. Highway 69, between 1500 Road and state Highway K52. This Advisory does not include the cities of Pleasanton or Mound City.

KDHE issued the advisory after a tower was drained, and the area lost pressure to the system. Pressure has since been restored but the advisory will remain in effect until testing of samples indicates no evidence of contamination.

Customers in the designated area should boil water used for cooking or drinking and observe the following precautions until further notice:
