Media Advisory: Boil Water Order Rescinded for City of Brewster

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded the boil water order for the City of Brewster in Thomas County. The order was issued on September 28 due to the presence of coliform bacteria in water samples taken from the public water system.

Laboratory testing indicates no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.

For more information, call Joe Blubaugh, KDHE, Topeka at (785) 296-5795 or Mayor Mike Baughn at (785) 694-2205.
