Firehouse Demonstration on June 5

WHO:

Safe Kids Kansas and Fire Science Program, Hutchinson Community College
 

WHAT:

The recently acquired Fire Education “Firehouse” will be available for demonstrations for media and Safe Kids Kansas members.
 

WHEN:

Tuesday, June 5, 2007

KNEA Building

Topeka, KS

(House will be set up in front of the KNEA Building on the south side of 10th Street)
 

WHY:

This is an opportunity to see a demonstration of how fire spreads through a structure and how children and adults can escape from a fire. Information on how the new "Firehouse" will enhance the fire education programs in Kansas will be provided.
 

Safe Kids Kansas, Inc. is a nonprofit Coalition of 67 statewide organizations and businesses dedicated to preventing accidental injuries to Kansas children ages 0-14. Local coalitions and chapters are located in Allen, Anderson, Atchison, Clay, Coffey, Dickinson, Doniphan, Douglas, Ellis, Finney, Ford, Franklin, Geary, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Labette, Leavenworth, Marion, Marshall, McPherson, Meade, Mitchell, Montgomery, Nemaha, Osage, Pottawatomie, Republic, Rice, Riley, Saline, Smith, Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Wilson and Woodson Counties, as well as the cities of Chanute, Emporia, Leavenworth, Norton, Pittsburg, the Wichita Area and the Metro Kansas City Area.
