KDHE Seeks Public/Stakeholder Comments During Statewide
Listening Tour Meeting in Lawrence

September 27 – 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) Secretary Roderick L. Bremby and the KDHE Management Team will hold a meeting in Lawrence on Wednesday, September 27 from 6-7 p.m. at the KDHE District Office, 800 W. 24 th Street. The meeting will be to discuss health and environment related issues and seek comments from business and community partners, customers, area legislators and the public.
“As KDHE strives to meet the health and environmental needs of Kansans, it is important that we receive direct input from our constituents and stakeholders from across this great state,” Bremby said. “We also want to provide information and updates on planning, budgeting, legislative issues and agency priorities.”
Bremby and the KDHE Management Team will update participants on the following:
- 2006 Legislative Session
- Status of the KDHE budget and funding priorities
- Agency activities and initiatives:
- Healthy Kansas Initiative
- Pandemic Influenza
- Immunize Kansas Kids Initiative
- Healthy Kansans 2010
- Water quality/nutrient issues
This is the last stop in the statewide series of meetings between KDHE and stakeholders held in July and August. Previous meetings were held in Dodge City, Hays, Salina, Wichita, Chanute and Frontenac.
