KDHE issues $29,420 penalty to Industrial ChromeThe Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an administrative penalty of $29,420 to Industrial Chrome, Inc., 834 N.E. Madison Street, Topeka, for violating laws and regulations governing hazardous waste in Kansas. The following violations were noted during Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and KDHE inspections conducted January-July 2005:
Industrial Chrome was ordered to pay the penalty within 30 days of the July 24, 2006 order. Note to reporters: Copies of the administrative order will be faxed upon request. Email mheidema@kdhe.state.ks.us to request the order. |
