STATE ISSUES EMERGENCY SUSPENSION OF CHILD CARE PROVIDER IN GREAT BEND

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) issued an Emergency Order of Suspension against Kiddies Day Camp, operated by Kimberly Kay Byers. This is a family day care home, located at 318 Cottonwood Lane, Great Bend.

State law allows the Secretary of KDHE to issue such an order when, in the opinion of the Secretary, the order is necessary to protect children in the home from any potential threat to health or safety.

The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.

Note to editor/reporter: For a copy of the Emergency Suspension Order, please email swatson@kdheks.gov with a request for the document and please include your fax number.
