Grand Court II Fined $2,500
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $2,500 civil penalty against Grand Court, 11909 Lamar, Overland Park, for violations of state adult care home regulations.
KDHE staff inspected the assisted living facility on May 13 - 15 and issued a correction order on May 21 citing the facility for failure to meet standards for adult care. KDHE staff conducted a follow-up inspection on June 2-5 that determined the deficiencies had not yet been corrected.
The department assesses a fine when a facility fails to correct the deficiencies by the second visit. Department surveyors continue to check the facility to ensure the deficiencies are corrected.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
