State Lifts Admissions Prohibition at Ottawa Retirement Plaza

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order, effective December 17, 2002, lifting a prohibition on new admissions to Ottawa Retirement Plaza , 1042 W. 15th St. , Ottawa. A follow-up inspection on that date showed that previously documented deficiencies at the facility have been corrected.

Those deficiencies had significantly and adversely impacted the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility. The lifting of the prohibition enables the facility to accept new residents. The order lifting the ban was signed by the Secretary of Health and Environment on December 17, 2002, and was effective retroactively to December 17, 2002.
