Alterra Clare Bridge of Wichita Fined $2,500
KDHE Lifts Ban on Admissions

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $2,500 civil penalty against Alterra Clare Bridge of Wichita, 9191 East 21st Street North, Wichita, for violations of state adult care home regulations. The deficiencies that resulted in the civil penalty have since been corrected. As a result, a ban on admissions imposed November 22, was lifted effective December 5.

KDHE staff inspected the assisted living facility on October 2, 7, 8, and 9 and issued a correction order on October 24 citing the facility for failure to meet standards for adult care homes. KDHE staff conducted a follow-up inspection on November 4 and 5 that determined the deficiencies had not yet been corrected.

The department assesses a fine when a facility fails to correct the deficiencies by the second visit.
