State Lifts Admissions Prohibition at Ashford Place

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order, effective November 26, 2002, lifting a prohibition on new admissions to Ashford Place, 10665 Barkley, Overland Park. A follow-up inspection on that date showed that previously documented deficiencies at the facility have been corrected.

Those deficiencies had significantly and adversely impacted the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility. The lifting of the prohibition enables the facility to accept new residents. The order lifting the ban was signed by the Secretary of Health and Environment on December 5, 2002, and was effective retroactively to November 26, 2002.
