The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an Emergency Order of Temporary Suspension for Harvest Inn, 718 Ft. Larned, in Larned, because of violations of state food service regulations. The suspension of the license became effective October 29th.
The order was issued based upon findings of imminent public health hazards revealed during inspections on October 29th, July 25th, and July 15th. The inspections were conducted by KDHE, and review the facility's procedures and equipment for sanitation and food storage, handling, and preparation.
State law allows the KDHE Division of Health to suspend a facility's license for violations of state regulations adopted pursuant to the Kansas Food Service and Lodging Act. The laws are intended to protect the public from food-borne illness.
