The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and Linn County Sheriff's Office are investigating a possible threat on the water supply at Linn County Rural Water District # 1 and # 3, and the water supply to the City of LaCygne. Local authorities are in the process of shutting down the water systems until the investigation has concluded. Water samples will be collected by KDHE. Efforts are being taken to bring in an alternative source of drinking water for those residents affected.
