State Lifts Admissions Prohibition at Kelly House II

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order, effective December 26, lifting a prohibition on new admissions to Kelly House II, 1800 SW Fairmont, Topeka. A follow-up inspection on that date showed that previously documented deficiencies at the facility have been corrected.

Those deficiencies had significantly and adversely impacted the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility. The lifting of the prohibition enables the facility to accept new residents. The order lifting the ban was signed by the Secretary of Health and Environment on December 26, and was effective retroactively to December 26.
