State Prohibits Kelly House II from Admitting New Residents

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order prohibiting new admissions to Kelly House II, 1800 SW Fairmont, Topeka, after an inspection revealed deficiencies that significantly and adversely impact the health, safety, nutrition, or sanitation at the facility.

The order, issued shortly after an inspection, prohibits the facility from accepting new residents until the deficiencies are corrected. Once staff determine that the deficiencies are corrected, KDHE will lift the prohibition. In some instances, that may occur within days.
