The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued an administrative order assessing a $1,500 civil penalty against a Mr. Kip Thorson, d.b.a. as La Crosse Enterprises, Inc., Great Bend. The fine was issued as a result of illegal open burning of unauthorized materials conducted at 3223 Railroad Avenue in Great Bend.
The department's order is subject to administrative appeal.
