State Lifts Admissions Prohibition at Terrace Gardens Nursing Center

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order, effective October 9, lifting a prohibition on new admissions to Terrace Gardens Nursing Center, 1315 N. West St., Wichita. A follow-up inspection on that date showed that previously documented deficiencies at the facility have been corrected.

Those deficiencies had significantly and adversely impacted the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility. The lifting of the prohibition enables the facility to accept new residents. The order lifting the ban was signed by the Secretary of Health and Environment on October 15, and was effective retroactively to October 9.
