The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $3,000 civil penalty against Brighton Gardens of Prairie Village, 7105 Mission Road, Prairie Village, for violating state adult care home regulations.
KDHE staff inspected the facility on August 8 and 10 and determined that the facility failed to meet standards for quality of care. The department determined the violation resulted in, caused, or posed serious physical harm to a resident. State law authorizes KDHE to issue civil penalties following an inspection under those circumstances.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
