State Prohibits Atria Hearthstone from Admitting New Residents
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order prohibiting new admissions to Atria Hearthstone, 3515 SW 6th, Topeka, after an inspection revealed deficiencies that significantly and adversely impact the health, safety, nutrition, or sanitation at the facility.
The order, issued shortly after an inspection, prohibits the assisted living facility from accepting new residents until the deficiencies are corrected. Once staff determine that the deficiencies are corrected, KDHE will lift the prohibition. In some instances, that may occur within days.
