Sexually Transmitted Diseases Training Offered in Beloit Oct. 26
An educational course titled "Exploring Partner Counseling and Referral Services and Viral STD: Bridging Theory and Practice" is being offered from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 at Mitchell County Hospital, 400 W. 8th St., Beloit. Nurses, social workers, and other allied health professionals are invited to attend.
Experts from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) will discuss information on various sexually transmitted diseases including gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, human papilloma virus, and herpes simplex virus. Additionally, important information about partner counseling and referral services will be offered to participants.
The registration fee for this training is $48. Continuing education credit is available to nurses. Persons with disabilities will be accommodated.
The training is sponsored by the University of Kansas Medical Center and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. For registration or program information, contact the Northwest Area Health Education Center in Hays at (785) 628-6128.
