Sexually Transmitted Diseases Training Offered in Hoxie Oct. 25
An educational course titled "Exploring Partner Counseling and Referral Services and Viral STD: Bridging Theory and Practice" is being offered from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 at the Lutheran Church, 1400 Locust, Hoxie. Nurses, social workers, and other allied health professionals are invited to attend.
Experts from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) will discuss information on various sexually transmitted diseases including gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, human papilloma virus, and herpes simplex virus. Additionally, important information about partner counseling and referral services will be offered to participants.
The registration fee for this training is $48. Continuing education credit is available to nurses. Persons with disabilities will be accommodated.
